Elmira College Welcomes New VP of Enrollment Management

Elmira, NY (09/15/2021) — Elmira College welcomes W. Eric Sykes as the new vice president of enrollment management, who will oversee the recruitment and enrollment efforts of the College.

Sykes comes with extensive experience working for colleges and universities. He started as a Psychology professor at Indiana University and then at Dickinson College before moving into staff roles. Pairing his love for research, data collection and analysis, he became the assistant director of institutional research at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. From there, he moved into enrollment management positions, using data to make strategic decisions about the college and university programs and recruitment strategies. Most recently, Sykes served as vice president of enrollment management for Quinnipiac University in Connecticut

"I'm excited to join the team at Elmira College," said Sykes. "My passion is to translate data into insight and understanding that ultimately informs decision-making and illuminates a clear path forward for the institution. I look forward to highlighting what makes Elmira College unique and conveying its special qualities to prospective students who will enroll and thrive here."

Sykes earned a bachelor's from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, and a master's degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
