Elmira College Introduces New Online Undergraduate Business Degree Program

Elmira, NY (06/10/2019) — The Continuing and Professional Education Division at Elmira College is launching a new, fully online degree program which allows part-time students to earn a bachelor of science in business administration, with a concentration in management, from the convenience of home.

The fully-accredited program, and first-ever fully online degree offered at EC, begins Fall 2019, with applications being accepted now through August.

The new online degree program is structured to be flexible and convenient. Courses run in six-week blocks, so a part-time student is only taking one class at a time. The program was specifically designed to serve those with work and/or family responsibilities and who may not have the ability to attend on-campus classes on a regular basis.

"Every course is taught by qualified faculty who have many years of teaching experience," explains Dr. Charlie Mitchell, provost at EC. "Distance learners can expect to have the same outstanding educational experience with the flexibility of an online program."

The program is designed for students who have at least 60 credits of undergraduate coursework, which includes both general education and a defined set of prerequisite business courses. Students enrolled in the program will take courses in core business concepts including accounting, human resources, information systems, leadership, management, operations, and strategy.

The new program also incorporates three graduate-level elective classes offered at the undergraduate rate, allowing students to go directly from the bachelor's degree to a master's in management degree - saving time and money.
