Enactus Team Supports Catholic Charities of Chemung and Schuyler Counties on Domestic Violence Awareness Campaign

Elmira, NY (10/10/2018) — Throughout the National Domestic Violence Awareness month of October, Elmira College Enactus is teaming up with Catholic Charities of Chemung and Schuyler Counties to raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence in the community.

Members of the College community are encouraged to show their support for the victims of domestic violence by joining the fifth annual "Take a Hike, Domestic Violence" awareness event this Saturday, October 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Watkins Glen State Park. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Schuyler Outreach Food Pantry in Watkins Glen.

On the EC campus students will be wrapping purple ribbons around trees on campus and the Cowles Hall cupola will be lit in purple throughout the month of October. In addition, the campus community is encouraged to wear purple on Thursday, October 25, to support domestic violence awareness.
