LECOM At Elmira Talks Health And Wellness At Elmira College

Elmira, NY (11/05/2021) — The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) at Elmira collaborated with Elmira College to develop a series of educational discussions related to health and wellness. The free series is open to the public.

Professors from LECOM at Elmira will present on the second Tuesday of every month through April. Speeches will be from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the Elmira College Gibson Theater.

The first presentation is on November 9. It is by Dr. Varum Soti, assistant professor of Pharmacology, and is entitled "Perils of Over-the-Counter Drugs."

Additional presentations will cover topics such as COVID vaccinations, infectious parasites and pets, the therapeutic benefits of gardening, the impact of stress on health and mental wellness, and the dangers of hypertension.

Anyone attending the presentations must wear a mask while indoors regardless of vaccination status.
