Austin May of Richmond to Perform In Elmira College's Production of The Shadow Box

2011 Jan 17

Elmira College's Department of Theatre will perform The Shadow Box, a play written by Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Christofer, in the College's Watson Arena from March 10th to the 13th.

Austin May from the Class of 2013 will play the role of Joe in the play.

The play focuses on the lives of three people living with the certainty that disease will kill them within a short time and those who love them. Each is forced to evaluate his or her life and come to a conclusion about the manner and worth of their existence.

The Shadow Box is not about death and dying as much as it is about self-realization, offering one playwright's answers questions like "Who are we?" "Where are we going?" and "What does this all mean?'"
