Heather Somers Awarded 2016-2017 Outstanding Graduate Thesis

Heather Somers of Elmira, NY (14901) was recenly awarded the 2016-2017 Outstanding Graduate Thesis. Currently a student in the Master of Science in General Education degree, Heather was presented the award for her thesis entitled, "Museum-School Collaborations." The thesis examined the opportunities that exist in upstate NY and the value they provide to schools. Heather's thesis received distinguished marks in all areas being evaluated including originality, insight and judgement, clarity, as well as mastery of the method used in research. Heather received her undergraduate degree from California State University in San Bernardino in Social Sciences and History and graduated with high honors.
