Sabourin Garners UCHC Accolade for Fourth Time This Season

Freshman goaltender Jake Sabourin '21 was named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Rookie of the Week (2/6/18), his second consecutive weekly accolade from the league and his fourth of the year.

After allowing a goal on just the third shot he faced, Sabourin settled in and held the Knights scoreless for the remaining 44:28 of the contest to earn a 4-1 victory on Friday night. In total, the product of Catonsville, Maryland, made 22 saves, 10 of which came in the third period. He was also in charge of a defense that held Neumann to 0-for-4 on the power play.

Friday's victory extended Sabourin's unbeaten streak to five consecutive games (4-0-1) and improved his record on the year to 5-4-1. Sabourin now paces the Soaring Eagles in both saves (319) and save percentage (.911), while ranking second in goals-against average (2.90).
