Students Honored at 47th Annual Elmira College Athletics Banquet

The Elmira College Department of Athletics recognized the achievements made by its student-athletes and staff members throughout the 2016-2017 academic year during the 47th Annual Athletics Award Banquet, held on May 22, 2017.

Members from Elmira's 20 varsity teams, as well as the Sports Medicine Department, received end-of-year awards throughout the night, including:

James Fritsche,

Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Presented to a student-athlete with the highest GPA with a minimum of no less than 3.0. Honoree must be a member in good standing on a competing varsity team that has completed one full academic year

Men's Cross Country: BOOSTER CLUB “PLAYER OF THE YEAR” - Awarded to a player who has completed a full season in one sport. Consideration is given to “Sportsmanlike” qualities and outstanding playing contributions in game situations. An award is presented for each individual intercollegiate sport.
