2020 Moser Freshman Prize Awarded at Phi Eta Sigma Induction

Elmira, NY (11/17/2020) — The 2020 Moser Freshman Prize was awarded to three recipients at the annual Elmira College Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society induction:

Paige Stilts, '23
Paige comes from Elkland, PA and is a Biology major preparing for medical school. Paige is a member of Orchesis, the Chemistry Club, and Circle K, was published in Selected Freshman Essays, and won the Corning Section of the American Chemical Society Award for 2019-20.

Ryan Hardy '23
Ryan comes from Campton, NH and is a Chemistry major. He serves as Vice-President of the Student Association, Treasurer of Rotaract, was published in Selected Freshman Essays, and won the Freshman Writing Award for 2019-20.

Annabelle Schmitte '23
Annabelle comes from Tully, NY and is another Chemistry major. She serves as Secretary for BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) and Vice President of the Martial Arts Club. In the alternative universe where such things happen she is a member of the women's volleyball team and earned a spot on the Empire 8 Association's President's List.

Each year, the Moser Freshman Prize is presented to the student or students achieving the highest grade point average at the end of the first year of full-time academic work.

The Prize was established by Raymond and Nancy Crane Moser '34 to acknowledge and support the academic tradition at Elmira College.
