Circle K Club Participates in "30Hour Famine" Challenge

Elmira, NY (05/07/2020) — The Elmira College Circle K will participate in the "30-Hour Famine" project on May 8-9, as part of the 2020 Circle K New York District Governor's Project. Each year the District Governor chooses an initiative for all Circle K clubs in the district to support. Current District Governor, Amna Bajwa, chose to help end hunger and provide basic necessities for this year's project.

"Every day, nearly 8,000 children under the age of five die because of hunger-related causes," said Noah Dorchester, treasurer for EC's Circle K Club. "I want to do something about it, so I'm doing World Vision's 30 Hour Famine. I, and other teammates, will not eat for 30 hours and raise money to help provide food and care for kids in need around the world."
