EC Students Present Research at Psychology Conference

Elmira, NY (03/15/2021) — Elmira College Assistant Professor of Psychology, Dr. Ping Zheng, and two students attended the 2021 Annual Meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association from March 5 - 6. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the conference was held virtually.

Victoria Dunham '21 and Raezon Thomas '22 presented a research project with Zheng titled, "Brief Coping with Trauma: The Roles of Rumination and Posttraumatic Growth," based on their research examining variables related to mental health of trauma survivors among college students.

Each year, psychologists and students at all levels of study from throughout the Eastern United States meet to share their research from a broad variety of scientific and professional subfields of psychology.
