Elmira College in Top 20 of Top Bachelor's Colleges
Elmira, NY (08/27/2019) — Elmira College ranks #17 on the list of the Top 200 Bachelor's Colleges according to the Washington Monthly's annual college rankings. The rankings focus on what colleges are doing for their students, but also for their contribution to the public good. To measure this impact, colleges are rated on three broad categories:
- Social mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students);
- Research (producing cutting-edge scholarship and PhDs); and
- Service (encouraging students to give something back to society).
