Elmira College Participates in Annual Internship Showcase Event

Elmira, NY (12/16/2019) — The Central New York Career Development Association (CNYCDA) recently hosted their annual Internship Showcase event in Syracuse, New York. Eighteen selected students from the consortium's twelve member colleges and universities were invited to present their internship experiences to a panel of judges.

Among the students selected to participate, was Elmira College's Derek Caramella '21. Derek's presentation focused on his internship experience over the summer with Pladis Global, a Horseheads snack manufacturer. Also representing EC was Assistant Professor of Business Administration, Matthew Burr, who served as a judge for the event.

The Central New York Career Development Association knows the reflection process of a student's internship is equally important to the experience itself. Because of this, the CNYCDA offers this annual opportunity to win a $500 overall prize or a $250 audience choice prize. Each student is given three minutes to discuss and present their specific internship experience to the audience and judges.
