Elmira Scholars Program Offers Full Tuition
Elmira, NY (12/05/2019) — Applications for the 2020-2021 Elmira College Scholars Program are due Wednesday, December 11. The program awards five full-tuition scholarships per year to first-year, full-time students.
In addition to the Application for Admission, eligible students will complete an Elmira College Scholars Application which includes specific questions about why the student is interested in Elmira College. An Elmira Scholars committee will review the applications and select a group of finalists to interview on campus. From the finalists, five students will be chosen as Elmira Scholars.
"This is an incredible scholarship opportunity for incoming EC students," said Dr. Jackie VanBrunt, EC dean of admissions. "This scholarship program recognizes students for their exceptional academics, extra-curricular activities, and well-roundedness."
Eligible applicants need to have a 3.7 GPA as well as 1300 SAT or 28 ACT composite. Current high school students interested in applying should complete the EC Application for Admission as well as the Elmira Scholars Program through the EC Online Portal. Both applications, along with official SAT or ACT scores, must be submitted by December 11.
Finalists will be notified by December 16. Those finalists who are not selected as an Elmira Scholar will be eligible for a $25,000 President's Award.
