Five Recipients Named for Inaugural Year of Elmira Scholars Program

Elmira, NY (05/05/2020) — The newly formed Elmira College Scholars Program awards five full-tuition scholarships per year to first-year, full-time students. Each of the recipients competed in a rigorous application process that included a video essay and an on-campus presentation demonstrating why Elmira College is the right college for them.

Recipients for the Class of 2024 are:

Brianna Babcock - Lancaster, New York (Lancaster High School)
Anticipated Major: Nursing

Riley Cobb - Wyalusing, Pennsylvania (Wyalusing High School)
Anticipated Major: Biology: Pre-Med Track

Sydney Fendick - Binghamton, New York (Chenango Forks High School)
Anticipated Major: Nursing

Rachel Nagy - Horseheads, New York (Horseheads High School)
Anticipated Major: Human Services

Jacob Parker - Clay, New York (Cicero North Syracuse High School)
Anticipated Major: Chemistry

Each recipient will live on campus and begin their college career at EC as a Student Ambassador for various admissions events. We are excited to welcome each of these students, along with the other members of the EC Class of 2024, to campus in just a few months and are confident they will excel at Elmira College.
