Helen Bosworth Beers '24 Prize Recipient Named
Elmira, NY (04/14/2020) — Elmira College named Janice Teeter '21 this year's Helen Bosworth Beers prize recipient. The annual award is presented to a junior or senior who in daily living supports religious principles, is a good student, and an outstanding citizen in the College. Helen was a member of the Class of 1924, and the award was endowed by members of her family in her honor.
"I was honestly so shocked when I was told I won an award," said Teeter. "I was honored to have received it because throughout my time here at EC my goal has always been to show love, positivity, and Jesus's goodness to everyone around me. Being awarded something like this shows me that other people see these qualities in me too. EC has given me the best years of my life and I've loved every second of being here, so receiving something like this is just the frosting on top of the cake!"
