New Commuter Lounge Opens

Elmira, NY (12/04/2019) — A grand opening was held on Wednesday, December 4, for a new lounge specifically designed for Elmira College commuter, part-time, and graduate students.

The Lounge, located in the Cowles Bin (lower level of Cowles Hall), will be open through prox card access from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The space features comfortable lounge furniture, refrigerators, microwaves, a Keurig, two desktops, two printers, and a TV.

"We are pleased to offer this new space for our non-residential students," said Dr. Elizabeth Lambert, EC vice president of enrollment management and student life. "It provides our commuter, part-time, and graduate students their own space in which they can study, eat, and relax between classes, without needing to leave campus."

Students needing any assistance with their current Elmira College ID or entry, can stop in the Campus Safety Office.
