Nursing Graduates Honored at Pinning Ceremony
Elmira, NY (06/06/2019) — As part of Commencement weekend the nurse education program hosted the annual Nurse Pinning Ceremony in Speidel Gymnasium. The ceremony recognized the students who have completed the requirements for a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
In addition to the 54 students who received their nursing pins, special awards were presented to:
- Samantha Hand, ANA Future Nurse Leader Award
- Cathryn Granato, Dr. Kathleen Sward Excellence in Nursing Award
- Cheyanne Holwell, Rho Gamma Scholarship Award
- Paige Heintzelman, Professional Nurses of the Twin Tiers Leadership Award
- Christa Greiner, Elmira College Excellence in Nursing Award
