Susan Drenning '64 Named 2019 Distinguished Service Award Recipient

Elmira, NY (06/27/2019) — Each year, during Reunion, the Elmira College Alumni Association honors alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their alma mater. This year, Susan Snyder Drenning of the Famous Class of 1964, who was celebrating her 55th Reunion, received the Distinguished Service Award.

Susan is an enthusiastic and engaged alumna who has demonstrated outstanding support of the College since her Commencement. She has hosted and attended alumni events, represented the president at an inauguration, and served several terms as Reunion Chair and Class Agent. Susan has always attended Reunion and was recognized as the Co-Class Agent of the Year in 2009. She is a loyal and loving alumna who has also served on the Board of Trustees.

Service to the College is a family tradition for Susan. Her mother, Berdella Emig Snyder '32, was a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and a Trustee. She also received the Distinguished Service Award in 1976.
