2019 Dance Marathon Raises Over $10,000 for Children's Miracle Network
Elmira, NY (03/26/2019) — The fourth annual Elmira College Dance Marathon, held on Saturday, March 23, raised over $10,000 in support of the Children's Miracle Network at Arnot Health
During Saturday's event, participants danced, and engaged in various activities such as zumba, face painting, henna, learning the Morale Dance, and so much more. The dance marathon goes on for 12 hours, symbolizing the struggles experienced by the children served through the Children's Miracle Network. The Elmira College event is held every year at the St. Anthony's Community Center, located on the Elmira College campus.
"We could not do it without the help of the wonderful committee members, the fabulous volunteers, the awesome dancers, and the extraordinary donors," said Sydney Stringham '19, ECDM assistant director and co-public relations chair. "We appreciate everyone's efforts to make this year's Dance Marathon a huge success. We also want to extend a thank you to the Miracle Families for attending our event with their Miracle Children - after all, we do it #ForTheKids.'"
According to Children's Miracle Network, every minute 62 children enter a CMN Hospital for treatment. This network of hospitals extends across North America and provides $3.4 billion in annual charity care.
