Admissions Hosts First Health Care Career Visit Day
Elmira, NY (03/12/2020) — The Office of Admissions recently hosted their first-ever Health Care Career Day in partnership with the Career Development Council. The day was designed to introduce local high school students to the various career options available in the health care field.
Presenters included Binghamton University School of Pharmacy, Elmira College, LECOM medical students and various other local health care professionals. A variety of sessions covered nursing, pharmacy, speech pathology, physicians assistant, osteopathic medicine, athletic training and many more.
The students who attended were given the choice to pick their top three preferred sessions from a list of 10-total options. Additionally, the 116 students received a general introduction to Elmira College and had a chance to tour the campus.
