Alumni Veteran Honored at Yankees Game
Elmira, NY (05/03/2019) — Matt Montgomery '11, veteran and Elmira College alumnus, was recently honored at a Yankee's game at Yankee Stadium. Montgomery served in the United States Army as a sergeant and was honored for his service as Yankee Stadium's "Veteran of the Game," on April 16. Montgomery, who had a chance to stand at homeplate, received a standing ovation during the 7th inning stretch.
Along with serving his country, Montgomery graduated from Thomas Edison High School, was a part of the men's tennis team at EC, and worked in the Clarke Health Center. Thank you for your service Matt!
