Burr Attends, Hosts Seminar at Leadership Conference
Elmira, NY (12/10/2018) — Assistant Professor of Business Administration, Matthew Burr, recently attended and hosted a leadership seminar at the Ithaca College Student Leadership Conference. The conference highlighted various topic tracks that included "Leading Self," "Leading Others," and "Leading in a Diverse World".
Specifically, Burr's seminar, titled "Ethics in People Management and Decision Making," tackled the ethical dilemmas that are found in all aspects of the work world. In his presentation, Burr explored ethics with people management and decision making and explains that "ethics is doing the right thing when no one is looking."
The Ithaca College Student Leadership Conference is a half-day event that allows students to enhance their skills to be successful in the leadership positions they hold on campus, as well as those beyond life in college. The theme for this years conference was "Leading for a Better World" and included eight different workshops to choose from and attend, all of which had varying themes and keynote speakers.
