Celebrate #GivingTuesday with Elmira College
Elmira, NY (11/13/2018) — Join us on Tuesday, November 27, as we again participate in the global day of giving, #GivingTuesday. Your donation on this day supports Elmira College students and their work in giving back to their communities and our global society.
With more than 70 student clubs and organizations, our students are organizing and leading blood drives, making bowls to help end hunger, raising funds in support of cancer research, making blankets for infants in the NICU, and packing backpacks to help feed local school children.
Faculty members are assisting students with research that is solving real-world problems and are working hand-in-hand with regional non-profits to create programs that support community efforts.
Staff members are serving on non-profit boards, organizing community-wide fundraisers, and volunteering with local schools.
All gifts, large and small, help to support these activities, making an immediate and direct impact.
Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter throughout the day on November 27 to learn more about the good things our students are doing and how you can help them make a difference.
#GivingTuesday is a global movement that harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners-nonprofits, businesses and corporations as well as families and individuals-to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.
