Celebrate National Selfie Day With EC Spirit
Elmira, NY (06/21/2019) — Not only is today, June 21, 2019, the first day of summer, but it is also National Selfie Day. Elmira College boasts a "picture-postcard perfect" campus, as proclaimed by the Philadelphia Inquirer, with multiple and very iconic locations, colors, architecture, and landscaping.
Whether it be The Puddle, Mark Twain Study, Cowles portico, or the fountain, social media is full of student, alumni, and visitor selfies in front of these beloved campus spots.
The best way to celebrate National Selfie Day? Show your EC pride and share your selfie, taken in your favorite spot on campus, on social media! When posting, make sure to keep the following things in mind:
- Tag or mention the College's Instagram and Facebook accounts (@elmiracollege for both)
- Use an EC hashtag: "#whyelmira," "#BeItEverSo," or "#ElmiraProud"
- Use the national day hashtag, "#NationalSelfieDay"
