Center for Mark Twain Studies Writing & Art Competition Announced

Elmira, NY (01/08/2020) — The Center for Mark Twain Studies recently announced their 27th Annual Mark Twain Writing Competition and 4th Annual Portraying Mark Twain" Art Competition. Each year CMTS opens the competitions to both undergraduate and graduate students for a chance to win a cash prize.

Academic essays and creative writing pieces may be submitted to the Mark Twain Writing Contest, which focuses on excellent student writing related to Mark Twain, his life, works, and times. Essays should be emailed to Joe Lemak, director of CMTS, at jlemak@elmira.edu, no later than April 27, 2020.

Entries to the "Portraying Mark Twain" Art Competition can include visual arts in all mediums and genres. The deadline for entry is March 30, 2020.
