Cheer Team Secures 11th Consecutive NCA College National Bid
Elmira, NY (08/22/2019) — The Elmira College cheerleading team ensured its place at the 2020 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) College Nationals after earning its 11th consecutive Gold-Paid Bid at the annual NCA College Camp, hosted by Boston University.
"I am so excited and proud of my team for all of the hard work they put into camp this year," said head coach Amber Myers. "We have a very young team, so for us to walk away with a Gold Bid is truly a testament to the leadership of our upperclassmen. It was the perfect way for us to start our new season."
The Purple and Gold earned third place in the rally routine portion of this year's camp. EC was one of six teams to earn a Gold Bid at the Boston camp, joining the University of New Hampshire, Bridgewater State University, the University of Connecticut, Montclair State University, and the University of Maine.
