Don't Miss Free Money! Apply By Dec. 12 For Elmira College Scholars Program
Elmira, NY (12/03/2021) — The deadline to submit an application for the 2022-2023 Elmira College Scholars Program is quickly approaching. If you're considering Elmira College, don't miss out on the opportunity to receive one of five full-tuition scholarships per year granted to first-year, full-time students. Submit your application by 11:59 p.m., Dec. 12.
This scholarship program recognizes students for their exceptional academics, extra-curricular activities, and for being generally well-rounded.
To enter, students must submit an Application for Admission, meet the eligibility requirements (See details), and complete an Elmira College Scholars Video Essay. In this video submission, applicants are encouraged to explain what the scholarship will mean for them and the attributes they will bring to the Elmira College Community.
An Elmira Scholars committee will review the applications and select a group of finalists to interview. Selected finalists will give a presentation to the scholarship committee. The committee will look for presentations that are enthusiastic and well prepared. Applicants will be graded on things like knowledge of the subject and whether the applicant practiced their presentation.
From the finalists, five students will be chosen as Elmira Scholars.
Eligible applicants need to have one of the below to qualify:
- A 3.9 GPA (no SAT or ACT scores required)
- A 3.7 GPA as well as 1300 SAT or 28 ACT composite
Current high school students interested in applying should complete the EC Application for Admission as well as the Elmira Scholars Video Essay through the EC Online Portal by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 12.
Finalists will be notified by December 17. Those not selected for the full scholarship will be eligible for a $25,000 Trustee Scholarship.
