Elmira College Community Gathers for Annual Holiday Banquet
Elmira, NY (12/10/2019) — Last Friday evening students, faculty, and administrators gathered in Campus Center Dining Hall for the traditional Holiday Banquet.
This celebration, one of the oldest of Elmira College's many time-honored traditions, is where students "invite" their favorite faculty member or administrator to join them for a traditional holiday dinner. Faculty and administrators serve the students dinner, carving turkeys and passing dishes in a family-style meal.
Keeping with tradition, the evening concluded with remarks from Bridgette Patterson '21, special events chair for Student Association, and members of the Class of 2020 leading the room in traditional holiday songs and the alma mater.
