Emerging Scholar Lecture Examines Relationship Between Literature and Philosophy

Elmira, NY (01/28/2020) — Jensen Suther, a Ph.D. candidate at Yale University, will present the upcoming Emerging Scholar Lecture, titled "The Wages of Indeterminacy: The Wages of Art and Life in Beckett's Trilogy."

In his lecture, Suther uses Samuel Beckett's Trilogy as a basis for a more general meditation on how the late modernist novel troubles the relationship between literature and philosophy.

The lecture is Tuesday, February 4, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Gannett-Tripp Library. The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information on Jensen Suther, visit his bio here.
