Khawar Joins Pakistan Development Review Advisory Board
Elmira, NY (12/13/2018) — Professor of Economics, Dr. Mariam Khawar, recently accepted an invitation to become an advisory board member for the Pakistan Development Review (PDR). As a board member, Khawar will be responsible for providing advice on improving the quality of the journal, appointing editors for peer review, and reviewing papers in her areas of interest and expertise.
The PDR is an internationally refereed journal published regularly by the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) since 1961. The journal focuses on economics and related social sciences and welcomes theoretical and empirical contributions in relevant disciplines with a particular emphasis on Pakistan's socio-economic issues. The contents of the PDR are abstracted/indexed regularly by several works of reference including CAB Abstracts, EconLit, SCOPUS andEKISTIC index of periodicals. In the past, several economists of international repute, including Albert Hirschman, Lawrence Klein, and Gustav Ranis, have served on our Advisory Board while the current board consists of renowned academics including Robert A. Mundell, T. N. Srinivasan, and John W. Mellor.
