Nathanael Ferrick '21 Wins Annual Investment Club Competition
Elmira, NY (06/03/2021) — The Elmira College Investment Club recently announced Nathanael Ferrick '21 as the winner of the Club's annual virtual trading contest. Over 15 students from a variety of majors participated in the contest which ran from October 1, 2020 to April 31, 2021.
Ferrick produced a 26.23% rate of return in just seven months. Aleksi Ojala '21, who placed third in last year's contest, finished second and produced a 19.86% return. Chiaki Benway '23 placed third with an 8.47% return.
The Investment Club is open to all students and uses an up-to-date virtual trading platform which allows students to invest a hypothetical sum in stocks, mutual funds, ETF's, bonds and commodities of their choosing.
