Orchesis Presents Spring Show
Elmira, NY (03/05/2019) — The community is invited to the annual spring performance of Elmira College's student dance organization, Orchesis, on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9 in Gibson Theatre.
The show consists of dances choreographed by the Orchesis officers, Danceline, Tap Ensemble, and "outside" student dances. This year's show is themed around "On the Big Screen" (songs from movies and tv shows).
"What I love about Orchesis is that there is a wide variety of dances choreographed by the students," said student member Olivia Kelly '19. "It is bittersweet to know this is my last time dancing on stage. Considering this, I have choreographed a dance for the seniors who are a part of this club. Every person in the dance has a solo part, and will be able to express themselves one last time. I am excited for this weekend, and recommend everyone to come and watch!"
The performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and are open to both the campus community and the public. Performances are free, with no tickets required.
