Savash Attends, Co-Presents at The Association of Towns
Elmira, NY (01/29/2020) — Associate Professor of Accounting, John Savash, recently attended The Association of Towns, a program for newly elected New York State town officials on January 8, 2020. While attending the program, Savash co-presented on a budgeting basics session.
"The program offers many topics such as town law, budgeting and retirement rules," stated Savash. "As a professor of practice, I work with municipalities on a regular basis on their accounting and budgeting needs. This work allows me to bring those industry best practices and experience to the classroom."
The Association of Towns program occurs every two years and is typically run over a three day period. This year, approximately 200 people were in attendance for Savash's session.
