Save the Date for #GivingTuesday 2021
Elmira, NY (11/16/2021) — We hope you will join us in two weeks, on Tuesday, November 30, as we again engage in the global day of giving, #GivingTuesday.
The global giving day kicks off the charitable, end-of-year giving season and we hope you'll keep Elmira College in mind. To better understand the impact of gifts to Elmira College, we asked students to share a little about why they love Elmira College and what about their education they are grateful for.
Check out the video of Leslie Monterrosa '24, who is double majoring in psychology and criminal justice, connected with this article. Monterrosa is the team captain for the woman's wrestling team and works in the Gannett-Tripp Library, is a resident assistant (RA) and tutor for American Sign Language, Spanish and English. She's also the founder and president of the Sharing a Smile club that provides basic necessities like toiletries for the homeless.
Large or small, cash or stock, your gift will support a place where students learn to meet the complexities and challenges of today's world and learn to lead in their own way. Here they develop critical thinking skills and prepare for the professional world that lays ahead of them. We bring together a liberal arts education with professional programs where 100% of students complete a career-related internship before graduation.
As Monterrosa makes clear, your gift has an immediate and direct impact. Please help her and others find their place at Elmira College.
