SHRM Certification Prep Course Offered
Elmira, NY (02/03/2020) — A Society for Human Resource Management certification prep course will be offered through the Office of Continuing Education and Graduate Studies at Elmira College beginning Tuesday, March 10.
As a SHRM Education Partner, the Office of Continuing Education offers the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification preparation program for those looking to earn the globally recognized human resources credential. Recognized as the new standard for human resources professionals around the globe, this credential focuses on teaching and testing the practical, real-life information HR professionals need to excel in their careers.
"The SHRM certification exam course is not only designed to ensure students pass the certification, but also become strategic thinkers in the HR field," according to Matthew Burr, SHRM instructor and EC assistant professor of business administration. "The course provides the knowledge, tools and resources to improve anyone's skills in the HR field and the SHRM certification is valued at the highest levels in organizations across the world. Our success is the students' success."
Since beginning to offer the prep course in 2016, Elmira College participants have averaged a 95% pass rate on the SHRM exam, while the global average is 88.89%.
The next course offering will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 10 - May 14 on the Elmira College campus. Registration is available online at https://elmirashrm2020.eventbrite.com. Space is limited, so early enrollment is encouraged.
The Office of Continuing Education and Graduate Studies at Elmira College is one of just over 260 SHRM Partners worldwide and the only Partner within the NY/PA Twin Tiers region.
