Four Elmira College baseball players received honors from the Empire 8 Conference office on May 17, as the E8 announced Conor Bawiec '18, Dennis Rudolph '18, and Andy Reed '19 earned All-Conference accolades, and Bryce Plante '18 was named to the Sportsman of the Year Team.

Both Patrick Tracey '18 and Stephen Gervase '20 of the Elmira College men's tennis team received honors from the Empire 8 Conference, as announced by the league office on May 11. Tracey garnered E8 All-Conference Second-Team accolades for singles after a stellar senior campaign, while Gervase received a spot on the Sportsman of the Year Team.

Following another standout season for the Elmira College softball team, third-year center fielder Maddy Johnson '19 was named to the Empire 8 All-Conference First Team, as announced by the conference office on May 10.

Four members of the Elmira College women's lacrosse team were honored by the Empire 8 Conference on May 10, as seniors Kelcey Crawford '18, Sarah Hughson '18 and Rachel Grampp '18 each received E8 All-Conference accolades and classmate Kiersta Pino '18 was named to the Sportswoman of the Year Team.

Elmira College attacker Nevin Olney '18 was named to the 2018 Empire 8 Conference Men's Lacrosse Sportsman of the Year Team following the conclusion of his senior season with the Soaring Eagles this spring.

Elmira College senior Conor Bawiec '18 earned Empire 8 Conference Pitcher of the Week accolades after spinning a gem in his final collegiate start against Medaille College at historic Dunn Field on Saturday, May 5.

In recognition of Elmira College's outstanding 2018 campaign, the men's volleyball team earned eight United Volleyball Conference (UVC) and Empire 8 All-Conference selections, as announced by the conference offices on April 12.

Nick Sampogna '18 of the baseball team and Emily Clark '19 of the softball team were named the Elmira College Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 29.

Elmira College seniors Jacob Magnoli'18 of men's lacrosse and Kyra McDonald '18 of women's lacrosse were named EC Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 15.

Two members of the Elmira College women's ice hockey team, Sarah Hughson '18 and Kelcey Crawford '18, were included on the All-U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO) Team after guiding the Soaring Eagles to a runner-up finish at the 2018 NCAA Division III Championship last month.

Matthew Buffum '18 was named both the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) and Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week, this time in recognition of his three consecutive strong performances to close out the 2018 regular season.

Matthew Buffum '18 of the No. 15-ranked Elmira College men's volleyball team was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Player of the Week for Division III on March 26. Buffum was also tabbed as both the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) and Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week the day before. The announcement marks just the third time in program history that an EC player garnered this accolade, the most recent being two-time AVCA All-American Erik Griffin '16, who did so on February 23, 2016.

In recognition of their outstanding play in Elmira College softball's season-opening weekend, both Maddy Johnson '19 and McKenzie Slaven '20 received accolades from the Empire 8 Conference office. Johnson was tabbed as the E8's Player of the Week, while Slaven won the Pitcher of the Week award, marking the first time in program history that EC has won both awards in the same week.

Shannon Strawinski '19 of the women's ice hockey team and Ryan McDonough '19 of the men's volleyball team were crowned the Elmira College Athletes of the Week, for the week ending March 18. It marks the second time this year that both junior student-athletes were recognized for their efforts by the EC Department of Athletics.

For guiding the Elmira College men's ice hockey team to a birth in the inaugural United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Tournament Championship, Nick Ford '20 was tabbed as the league's Player of the Week and Gennaro Anzevino '21 earned Goaltender of the Week accolades in the conference's final weekly awards of the season. In addition to recognition from the UCHC, both Ford and Anzevino were named EC Athletes of the Week.

Senior forwards Sarah Hughson '18 and Louisa Lippiatt Durnell '18 of the nationally-ranked women's ice hockey team hwere crowned Elmira College Athletes of the Week (March 12) in recognition of their efforts in the NCAA Tournament win over Adrian College.

The No. 3/3-ranked Elmira College women's ice hockey team was well represented on the first-ever All-United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Awards, as 10 Soaring Eagles received year-end accolades. EC's impressive haul was highlighted by three Soaring Eagles receiving major awards, as Sarah Hughson '18 was named UCHC Player of the Year, Rachel Grampp '18 was tabbed as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year, and Kelcey Crawford '18 was crowned Goaltender of the Year.

Ryan Blais '21 of the Elmira College men's ice hockey team was named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on February 20.

For the second consecutive week, Shawn Backus '21 of the Elmira College men's basketball team was named the Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on February 19.

Elmira College's Shawn Backus '21 received the first weekly accolade of his collegiate career on February 5, as the Empire 8 Conference announced the freshman forward as this week's E8 Rookie of the Week honoree.

The United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) has rewarded Elmira College women's ice hockey defender Sydney Harris '21 with Rookie of the Week accolades, as announced by the league office on February 13.
