Elmira College recently announced this year's recipients of its annual Key Award. This year's award was given to 807 students in 18 states as well as Canada. A tradition that goes back to 1935, the Key Award is presented to outstanding students in their junior year of high school or preparatory school.

Thirteen Elmira College student-athletes earned the Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes for the 2024-25 season. In addition, Elmira College earned Team GPA honors.

The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) "Krampade All-American Scholars" recognizes varsity ice hockey players with exceptional classroom results. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and have appeared in 40% of the team's games.

The Center for Mark Twain Studies (CMTS) announced this year's winners of the "Portraying Mark Twain" art competition. In its ninth year, the annual competition is open to all Elmira College (EC) students, regardless of academic major. Four final images were selected for their representations of Mark Twain, his literature, or aspects of his life in Elmira and at Quarry Farm.

During the Annual Student Research Conference, a panel of judges awarded special prizes to students based on the clarity and depth of their information.

The EC Rookie of the Year Award is presented to a male and female athlete who demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership, good citizenship, satisfactory academic achievement, and athletic proficiency throughout their first year as an Elmira College student-athlete.

The Margaret Locke Citizenship award is given annually to an Elmira College student-athlete who has demonstrated a spirit of service to the campus and wider communities, provides a model of community involvement, and makes a difference in the lives of others through service. It is given in honor of Dr. Margaret Chase Locke, who served as a professor and director of physical education at EC for thirty years. She was very committed to community service at the local, regional, and national level.

The EC Athletes Most Outstanding Career award is presented to a male and female athlete who demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership, good citizenship, satisfactory academic achievement, and athletic proficiency throughout their athletic career at EC.

The EC Athlete of the Year Award is presented to a male and female athlete who demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership, good citizenship, satisfactory academic achievement, and athletic proficiency.

The Wayne Moschetti '73 award is presented to a varsity athlete who is a member of the junior class. The recipient exemplifies the quality of spirit, character, and academic achievement of Moschetti.

Presented annually to a graduating student-athlete whose athletic eligibility has expired and who has shown, in action, Ellen Gibbs Matson's leadership, joy of life, and commitment to Elmira College.

Presented to an upper-class student in good standing whose personality, character, organizational, and administrative ability have had a positive impact on the athletics and recreational programs.
