Each theatre season Elmira College highlights student directed one-act plays in which students direct a fully-produced short play. Each student is responsible for their choice of play, casting, and both technical and performance preparation.

Elmira College released its Dean's List for Academic Achievement for the Winter 2020 Term. The Dean's List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who were registered for at least 12 computable credit hours and who earned a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

The Helen Bosworth Beers '24 Prize has been awarded to Janice Teeter '21. The Prize has been endowed by members of her family in honor of Helen Bosworth Beers, a member of the Class of 1924, to be presented to a junior or senior who, in daily living, supports religious principles and who is a good student and an outstanding citizen in the College.

The Freshman Writing Prize is awarded to a first-year student who has taken both courses in the Academic Writing Program sequence and has demonstrated mastery of the writing, critical thinking, and oral communications skills studied in those courses.

Elmira College recently named this year's Margaret Locke Community Service Prize winner. The Prize was endowed by Barbara Linenthal '75 and other friends of Professor Emerita of Physical Education, Dr. Margaret Locke, to a student who has demonstrated a spirit of service to the campus and wider communities, provides a model of community involvement, and makes a difference in the lives of others through service.

The Elmira College Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, recently inducted 25 new lifetime members.

Nick Ford '20 of the Elmira College men's ice hockey team added to his collection of awards, as he was named to the All-USCHO Third Team on March 26 by U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO).

Elmira College recently named this year's recipient of the Marian Ames Memorial Prize. The Prize is presented each year in memory of Miss Ames, an outstanding Professor of Chemistry, by the Class of 1936, to an outstanding an outstanding junior concentrating in chemistry.
