Elmira College recently named the 2019 recipient of the Joseph Robinson Prize. The Prize was endowed by Grace Robinson Billard, 1902 Class President, in memory of her brother and in order to recognize an outstanding student in philosophy and religion.

Elmira College recently named the recipient of the 2019 Kathlene Arnott Watters '65 Prize. The Prize recognizes an exceptional graduating student in American Studies, Classical Studies, English Literature, History, or Philosophy and Religion, whose work exemplifies the ideals of scholarly inquiry and demonstrates a passion for the humanities.

Elmira College recently named the recipient of this year's Elizabeth Anne Graham '42 Prize. The prize is presented to the graduate who, in the judgement of the Department of Art, shows the greatest promise in the field of applied art.

Elmira College recently awarded the Jeannette Elizabeth Sheldon '78 Prize in Foreign Language. The Prize was endowed by Albert Smith Sheldon in memory of his sister, a member of the Class of 1878, and is awarded to the member of the graduating class with the highest achievement in foreign language study.

Elmira College recently named the recipient of this year's Bruce Beaty Memorial Prize. The Prize, established by Dr. Janice Beaty Janssen, Professor Emerita of Human Services, in memory of her son, is given to an exceptional graduate in the field of human services.

Elmira College recently announced the recipient of this year's Abraham Shabanowitz Mathematics Prize at its Commencement exercises. Established by Dr. Harry Shabanowitz, Professor Emeritus of Mathematics, in memory of his father, the award recognizes graduates showing outstanding achievement in the field of mathematics.

Elmira College recently named the recipient of this year's Dr. Ryland Hugh Hewitt, Jr. Award. The Award is presented to a junior or senior who has excelled in the field of Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.

Elmira College recently named the recipient of this year's Dr. Louise Frances Potter. The Prize is given in memory of Dr. Potter, an outstanding microbiologist at Elmira College, to a superior graduate in biology.

The recipient of this year's Alpha Sigma Lambda Prize was announced at Elmira College's Commencement exercises. The Prize is awarded to the part-time graduating student with the highest cumulative grade point average at Elmira College, by the Elmira College chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda.

Elmira College recently named the recipient of this year's Carmine John Parker '79 Prize. The Prize recognizes a graduate with promise as a leader in global citizenship. The recipient must be an international relations or political science major with a related field of study such as foreign languages, economics, history, or business.

The recipient of this year's Emerson Liscum Diven Prize was announced at Elmira College's Commencement exercises. The Prize is awarded annually to a senior who has high academic achievement and has contributed the most scholarly work in biology. The Prize is awarded on the recommendation of the Department of Biology.

The 2019 ANA Future Nurse Leader Award was presented at the annual Elmira College Nurse Pinning Ceremony held as part of the College's Commencement weekend activities.

Elmira College released its Dean's List for Academic Achievement for students in the Continuing Education Division for the 2018-2019 academic year. Part-time undergraduate students who have, during the current academic year, achieved a grade point average of 3.600 or higher at the end of the Spring Term and who have completed at least twelve graded credits during the current academic year are placed on the Dean's List for the Division of Continuing Education.

The Empire 8 Conference announced on May 14 that Elmira College men's tennis senior Jordan Curtis '19 was selected to the 2019 E8 Sportsman of the Year Team.

For the second time this season, Tina O'Donnell '20 has been chosen as Elmira College's representative on the Empire 8 Conference Sportswoman of the Year Team, this time for her efforts on the field with the EC women's lacrosse team.
