On November 1, 2019, 28 students were inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, the International Honor Society rewarding first-collegiate-year scholarship, during a ceremony held in Peterson Chapel.

The Elmira College Theatre Program begins its 2019-2020 season with Darcy Parker Bruce's, Poet Soldier. Performances are scheduled October 25 and 26 at 8:00 p.m., with a matinee October 27 at 2:00 p.m. in Gibson Theatre at Elmira College.

The Elmira College men's and women's ice hockey programs continued to earn recognition for outstanding academic achievement by the team's respective student - athletes, as 14 skaters were announced as American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American Scholars on August 29, 2019.

For the second consecutive season, the nationally-ranked Elmira College women's ice hockey team has had 15 or more student-athletes recognized by the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) office for academic achievement, as 16 skaters were named to the 2018-19 UCHC All-Academic Team on July 30.

The Elmira College women's lacrosse program landed two student-athletes - Macy Huntley '19 and Kayla Cutting '20 - on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)/Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

The Empire 8 Conference honored 77 Elmira College student-athletes on its President's List, which recognizes student-athletes who earned a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher during the spring term. In addition, a total of 11 EC teams were named to the E8 All-Academic Team for possessing a GPA of 3.20 and higher.
