For the second time this season, Tina O'Donnell '20 has been chosen as Elmira College's representative on the Empire 8 Conference Sportswoman of the Year Team, this time for her efforts on the field with the EC women's lacrosse team.

Three members of the Elmira College baseball team earned year-end awards from the Empire 8 Conference.

The Elmira College baseball team received a pair of awards from the Empire 8 Conference on Monday afternoon, as Nick Cottone '19 was tabbed as the E8 Pitcher of the Week and Mason Ryan '22 earned Rookie of the Week honors.

First-year shortstop Mason Ryan '22 and fourth-year pitcher Nick Cottone '19 of the Elmira College baseball team have been named the recipients of the last Elmira College Athlete of the Week awards of the 2018-19 academic year.

Senior outfielders Maddy Johnson '19 and Rachel Katzenberger '19 of the Elmira College softball team were included on the Empire 8 Conference's year-end awards list, as Johnson was named an E8 All-Conference Honorable Mention and Katzenberger was chosen as EC's representative on the Sportswoman of the Year Team.

The Professional Nurses of the Twin Tiers Award was presented at the Elmira College Academic Honors and Student Recognition Celebration, held Thursday, March 28, in Stephens Lounge. The Prize is awarded annually to the nursing student who demonstrates leadership and high academic standards.

Elmira College released its Dean's List for Academic Achievement for the Winter 2019 Term. The Dean's List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who were registered for at least 12 computable credit hours and who earned a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

Following a seventh consecutive berth into the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, three members of the Elmira College women's ice hockey team were recognized by U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO). All-Americans Meg Lahey '19 and Katie Granato '19 were named to the All-USCHO First and Second Teams, respectively, while first-year forward Eliza Beaudin '22 was included on the All-Rookie Team.

The International Student Prize was presented at the Elmira College Academic Honors and Student Recognition Celebration, held Thursday, March 28, in Stephens Lounge. The Prize is awarded to a full-time international student who has completed at least one-year of full-time study at Elmira College and who excels in academic and student life.

Elmira College recently named this year's recipients of the Board of Trustees Prize. The Prize is presented annually by the Elmira College Board of Trustees to students who most clearly exemplify the earnest desire to improve academically, socially, or in service to the College community.

The Margaret Locke Community Service Prize was presented at the Elmira College Academic Honors and Student Recognition Celebration, held Thursday, March 28, in Stephens Lounge. The Prize was endowed by Barbara Linenthal '75 and other friends of Professor Emerita of Physical Education, Dr. Margaret Locke, to a student who has demonstrated a spirit of service to the campus and wider communities, provides a model of community involvement, and makes a difference in the lives of others through service.

The Prize is given annually to a deserving freshman man going into the sophomore class who exemplifies the standards and spirit of Elmira College.

Elmira College recently named this year's recipient of the Marian Ames Memorial Prize. The Prize is presented each year in memory of Miss Ames, an outstanding Professor of Chemistry, by the Class of 1936, to an outstanding graduate in Chemistry.

The Helen Bosworth Beers '24 Prize was presented at the Elmira College Academic Honors and Student Recognition Celebration, held Thursday, March 28, in Stephens Lounge. The Prize has been endowed by members of her family in honor of Helen Bosworth Beers, a member of the Class of 1924, to be presented to a junior or senior who, in daily living, supports religious principles and who is a good student and an outstanding citizen in the College.

The Mildred Whittlesey McGraw Attainment Prize was presented at the Elmira College Academic Honors and Student Recognition Celebration, held Thursday, March 28, in Stephens Lounge. The Prize was endowed by Harold McGraw, Sr., former Chairman of the Board of Trustees, in honor of his mother, for a junior who has made the greatest contribution in academic achievement, general activities, and citizenship, and who has demonstrated most thoroughly the aims of the College.
