Strawinski, Beaudin and Martin Honored as Elmira Sweeps UCHC Weekly Awards

Elmira College released its Dean's List for Academic Achievement for the Fall 2018 Term. The Dean's List recognizes students that have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

"Mashups and Other Collisions in Art and Literature," a print-on-demand book, features a collection of essays, poems, and artwork created by Elmira College students in the 2018 First Year Seminar class this fall.

For the last week of competition in 2018, Shannon Strawinski '19 and Eliza Beaudin '22 of the nationally-ranked women's ice hockey team have been named Elmira College Athletes of the Week.

Junior Connor Powell '20 was crowned the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Co-Player of the Week and sophomore Jake Sabourin '21 received Goalie of the Week accolades on November 6.

Hanson was voted as an Empire 8 All-Conference Honorable Mention selection, while LoPresti was selected as EC's representative on the Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year Team.

Rachel Katzenberger '19 of the Elmira College women's volleyball team was recognized on November 7, as EC's representative on the Empire 8 Conference Sportswoman of the Year Team.

After sweeping a weekend of United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) action, Connor Powell '20 of the men's ice hockey team and Meg Lahey '19 of the nationally-ranked women's ice hockey team were named Elmira College Athletes of the Week.

Katie Granato '19 and Stephanie Martin '22 added to their weekly award total, as the two Elmira College women's ice hockey teammates were selected to the D3hockey.com National Team of the Week.

Fourth-year member of the Elmira College women's tennis, Cheyanne Holwell '19, landed a spot on the Empire 8 Conference Sportswoman of the Year Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday, November 1.

Elmira College women's ice hockey's Katie Granato '19 and Stephanie Martin '22 received United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Weekly accolades, following EC's two-goal win against reigning NCAA national champion, and former No. 1/1-ranked, Norwich University. Granato was voted as the league's Player of the Week, while Martin claimed Goalie of the Week honors.
