After receiving her third United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Player of the Week Award, Katie Granato '19 of the nationally-ranked Elmira College women's ice hockey team earned national recognition as a member of the weekly D3hockey.com Team of the Week on December 12.

For the third time in 2018-19, Elmira College's Katie Granato '19 was awarded the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week Award, as announced by the league office on December 11.

After guiding the Soaring Eagles to a 69-58 victory over Pennsylvania College of Technology, freshman guard Alyssa Waters '22 of the Elmira College women's basketball team was named the Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced on December 10.

After sweeping a weekend of United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) action, Connor Powell '20 of the men's ice hockey team and Meg Lahey '19 of the nationally-ranked women's ice hockey team were named Elmira College Athletes of the Week.

Mae Dinh '19 of the field hockey team and Giovanni Garufi '22 of the men's soccer team have been named the Elmira College Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 14. For Dinh, the award is her second of the 2018 season, while Garufi collected his first weekly honor.

Last weekend, 49 students were inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, the International Honor Society rewarding first-collegiate-year scholarship, during a ceremony held in Peterson Chapel.
