The Pi of New York chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Elmira College recently inducted 21 new members during a ceremony held in Peterson Chapel.

The Pi of New York chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Elmira College recently held its annual induction and banquet. Prizes were also awarded to five outstanding juniors.

Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, recently inducted 26 student members into the Elmira College circle, or chapter.

Elmira College's Ari Smith '18, a senior from Eagle, Wisconsin, was named this year's recipient of the NCAA's Elite 90 Award, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships.

Kelcey Crawford was named a Second-Team All-American, as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA), at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Banquet.

Sarah Hughson was named a First-Team All-American, as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA), at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Banquet.

The Elmira College Chapter of Sigma Beta Delta, the International Society for Business, Management, and Administration, held student inductions on February 27. There were 17 inductees.

The Elmira College Chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society for Economics, recently held student inductions on February 27. There were 21 inductees.

The Elmira College Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society recently inducted four new members during a ceremony held in Meier Hall.

Freshman goaltender Jake Sabourin '21 was named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Rookie of the Week (2/6/18), his second consecutive weekly accolade from the league and his fourth of the year.

For the first time this season, Elmira College's Katie Granato '19 was named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Player of the Week (2/8/18).

Of the 35 student-athletes who attended the 2018 Empire 8 Conference Summit, which was held at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa in Fairport, New York, on January 26 and 27, Elmira College was represented by Kurt Bartholomew '18 (men's soccer), Nick Cottone '19 (baseball), Macy Huntley '19 (women's lacrosse), and Allie LoPresti '19 (women's soccer).

Anthony Parrucci '20 of the men's ice hockey team and Jeremy Best '19 of the men's volleyball team were recognized as Elmira College Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 4.

On the day Justin Porrett '19 of the Elmira College men's basketball team was recognized as an Empire 8 All-Conference Honorable Mention, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the third-year guard was named a First Team Academic All-District honoree.

A new play titled, "Battles Lost and Won," by local playwright and Elmira College professor, John J. Kelly, will premiere Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24 at 8:00 p.m. at the Arnot Art Museum, Elmira.

Danielle Cleary '18 of the women's basketball team and Ryan McDonough '19 of the men's volleyball team earned Elmira College Athlete of the Week honors for their performances in the week spanning February 5-11.

The Eta Sigma Chapter of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society recently held student inductions on Sunday, January 28 in Peterson Chapel. There were 16 inductees who met the requirements for membership.

The Elmira College Theatre Program continues its 2017-2018 season with Alan Ayckbourn's classic farce, "How The Other Half Loves." Performances are scheduled February 8 through 10 at 8:00 p.m., with a matinee February 11 at 2:00 p.m. in Gibson Theatre at Elmira College.

After picking up two crucial United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) wins over Nazareth College (3-2) and No. 7/7-ranked Utica College (5-1), Matthew Cuce '20 and Jake Sabourin '21 both received weekly accolades from the league office (1/31/18). In addition to being tabbed the conference Player of the Week, Cuce was also named to the D3hockey.com National Team of the Week. Sabourin received UCHC Goaltender of the Week honors.

For their efforts in Saturday's 3-3 overtime draw against No. 3/2-ranked Norwich at the Murray Athletic Center, Kelcey Crawford '18 and Jess Adams '21 of the nationally-ranked Elmira College women's ice hockey team received accolades from the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC). Crawford was named the Goalie of the Week for the second time this season, while Adams was tabbed as the Rookie of the Week.

Two ice hockey players have been recognized as Elmira College Athletes of the Week, as second-year forward Matthew Cuce '20 of the men's team and third-year forward Katie Granato '19 of the women's team have garnered the honor for the week ending January 21. The award is the third of its kind for both Cuce and Granato so far in 2017-18.

The Winter 2018 Term is underway and Elmira College is pleased to welcome these new students to campus!

The Kappa Omicron Chapter of the Gamma Sigma Epsilon National Chemical Honor Society held student inductions on January 20. There were 15 inductees.

The Office of Career Services recently hosted the second annual Excellence in Community Service Luncheon. The event, in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, highlighted the importance of students volunteering and giving back to the local community.

Reigning United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Player of the Week, Connor Powell '20, garnered another award this week, as the second-year forward was also included on the D3hockey.com National Team of the Week.

Senior forward Sarah Hughson '18 of the No. 2/3 nationally-ranked Elmira College women's ice hockey team was tabbed at the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Player of the week for her efforts in EC's weekend sweep of Utica College.

For their efforts in Elmira College's upset 3-2 victory over No. 15/15-ranked Buffalo State on Saturday night (1/13/18), Connor Powell '20 and Jake Sabourin '21 both received weekly accolades from the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC). Powell was named the UCHC Player of the Week, while Sabourin was crowned the Goalie of the Week for the second time this season.
