The Elmira College Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society recently inducted four new members during a ceremony held in Meier Hall.

The Elmira College Chapter of Sigma Beta Delta, the International Society for Business, Management, and Administration, held student inductions on February 27. There were 17 inductees.

The Elmira College Chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society for Economics, recently held student inductions on February 27. There were 21 inductees.

Freshman goaltender Jake Sabourin '21 was named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Rookie of the Week (2/6/18), his second consecutive weekly accolade from the league and his fourth of the year.

Of the 35 student-athletes who attended the 2018 Empire 8 Conference Summit, which was held at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa in Fairport, New York, on January 26 and 27, Elmira College was represented by Kurt Bartholomew '18 (men's soccer), Nick Cottone '19 (baseball), Macy Huntley '19 (women's lacrosse), and Allie LoPresti '19 (women's soccer).

A new play titled, "Battles Lost and Won," by local playwright and Elmira College professor, John J. Kelly, will premiere Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24 at 8:00 p.m. at the Arnot Art Museum, Elmira.

In addition to being tabbed the conference Player of the Week, Cuce was also named to the D3hockey.com National Team of the Week. Sabourin received UCHC Goaltender of the Week honors.

The Eta Sigma Chapter of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society recently held student inductions on Sunday, January 28 in Peterson Chapel. There were 16 inductees who met the requirements for membership.

The Elmira College Theatre Program continues its 2017-2018 season with Alan Ayckbourn's classic farce, "How The Other Half Loves." Performances are scheduled February 8 through 10 at 8:00 p.m., with a matinee February 11 at 2:00 p.m. in Gibson Theatre at Elmira College.

For their efforts in Saturday's 3-3 overtime draw against No. 3/2-ranked Norwich at the Murray Athletic Center, Kelcey Crawford '18 and Jess Adams '21 of the nationally-ranked Elmira College women's ice hockey team received accolades from the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC). Two ice hockey players have been recognized as Elmira College Athletes of the Week, as second-year forward Matthew Cuce '20 of the men's team and third-year forward Katie Granato '19 of the women's team have garnered the honor for the week ending January 21. The award is the third of its kind for both Cuce and Granato so far in 2017-18.
