Elmira College Students Graduate with Honors

The Elmira College Class of 2018 included more than 140 graduates receiving summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude honors at the College's 160th Commencement on Saturday, June 2 at the Murray Athletic Center, Pine Valley. The exercises included 270 undergraduate and 27 graduate students.

Elmira College celebrated the graduation of 297 students during its 160th Commencement on Saturday, June 2 at the Murray Athletic Center, Pine Valley. The exercises included 270 undergraduate and 27 graduate degrees.

Elmira College Dean's List for Continuing Education

Elmira College released its Dean's List for Academic Achievement for students in the Continuing Education Division for the 2017-2018 academic year. Part-time undergraduate students who have, during the current academic year, achieved a grade point average of 3.600 or higher at the end of the Spring Term and who have completed at least twelve graded credits during the current academic year are placed on the Dean's List for the Division of Continuing Education.

Charl Pretorius '19 of the Elmira College men's golf team was named EC's representative on the Empire 8 Conference Sportsman of the Year Team, as announced by the league office on May 31. Each institution is represented by one student-athlete on the Sportsman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission.
