Moser Freshman Prize Awarded

The Moser Freshman Prize, established by Raymond and Nancy Crane Moser '34, is presented annually to the student achieving the highest grade point average at the end of the first year of full-time academic work. The 2017 Moser Freshman Prize was awarded to Sofia Moore '20. Sofia, a finance major from Allegheny, N.Y.

162nd Commencement Held at Elmira College

Elmira College celebrated the graduation of 328 students during its 162nd Commencement on Sunday, June 4 at the Murray Athletic Center, Pine Valley. The exercises included the conferring of 296 undergraduate and 32 graduate degrees.

The Elmira College men's and women's tennis teams were recognized for their outstanding performances in the classroom this past season, as both programs received a bevy of academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this afternoon. Both squads were named to the ITA All-Academic Team, while several student-athletes on both sides garnered individual accolades by being named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Elmira College Women's Lacrosse Named IWLCA/Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad

For the fifth consecutive season and the sixth time in the past seven years, the Elmira College women's lacrosse team was has been recognized as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)/Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. In addition to the Academic Honor Squad award, the IWLCA named six Soaring Eagles to its Division III Academic Honor Roll.

Elmira College Awards Elizabeth Anne Graham '42 Prize

Elmira College recently named the recipient of this year's Elizabeth Anne Graham '42 Prize. The Prize is given in memory of Elizabeth Anne Graham '42, by her family. Her father, Professor of Economics, Grover C.T. Graham, was serving as a College Bursar at the time of her death in 1943. The prize is presented to the graduate who, in the judgement of the Department of Art, shows the greatest promise in the field of applied art.
